Who runs the game

Find your Duck is in an invite-only test. Who runs it is being defined and will be named here before the public opening. Contact: [email protected].

The game is free

You play for free, without ads and without having to buy anything. Today nothing can be bought in the game. If one day there are purchases, the price will be in euros and shown upfront, and our pact applies: no game currency for sale, no time or advantages for sale, no paid surprises.

Your account

The account is created on its own and has no name or email: the key that opens it stays on your device. If you clear your browser data without having saved with Apple or Google, the account can’t be found again. The account is yours and cannot be sold, bought or handed to others.

Doubloons, ducks and the market

• Doubloons are earned only by playing and cannot be bought with money, in any way.
• Doubloons, ducks, eggs and every other item in the game have no money value: you can use them in the game, under these rules, but they are not goods that can be resold.
• Selling, buying or trading outside the game, for money or other goods, doubloons, ducks, eggs, items or accounts is not allowed.
• Whatever is bought with euros, if that ever exists, does not enter the game’s market.
• If someone gains value in the game by buying it outside, that value is removed (doubloons, ducks or items); in serious or repeated cases the account may be suspended.
• A person always decides, never an automatic rule, and we tell you why. You can ask for the decision to be reviewed by writing to [email protected].

Behaviour

Your @, your farm’s name and your ducks’ names are seen by others: no insults, no personal data about you or anyone else, no advertising. We may change a name that isn’t OK, and we say why. In reports, tell us what’s wrong with the game, without personal data: we really read them. No bots, cheats or exploits to gain an advantage; if you find a hole, tell us how and we’ll thank you.

Younger players

Players under 14 play with a few things switched off (free text in reports, assigned neighbours, purchases without a parent), as explained on the privacy page. A parent can change the age band or delete the account from the game.

If the game closes

We hope not. If one day we had to shut down the server, we will say so in the game at least 30 days in advance, and what you bought stays yours: we will give you a way to keep your farm playable even without our server.

Warranties and liability

We do our best to keep the game working and to make sure nobody loses their ducks: backups every night, checks before every update. But it’s a game made by a few people: it may have bugs and pauses. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage caused by a bug in the game. All the rights the law gives consumers remain.

If the terms change

Every version has a number and a date. If something important changes, we say so in the game before it applies; if you don’t agree you can stop playing and delete the account.

Law and courts

Italian law applies and, if you are a consumer, so do the protections of the country where you live. For disputes with a consumer, the court of the place where the consumer lives has jurisdiction.
